Woo I'm sorry its been a while.....
Life is good.
Life is very good actually.
I still can't upload photos, but I will as soon as I can.
I applied to Pilchuck Glass School for the summer...
Check out their website: www.pilchuck.com/default.htm
I went last summer and it was wonderful soooo, wish me luck! :-)
My visa is going to expire next tuesday, so tomorrow morning at 7am I'm hoping on a bus and driving to Maesai, the northern most town in Thailand, which is about 5 hours away. From there I will walk across the boarder into Myanmar to get a new visa, and then I will get back on the bus and come home. Its going to be a really really really long day...
It will be nice to say that I have crossed a boarder on foot completely by myself tho. :-) I guess it will be a little bit of an adventure.
Speaking of adventures, this weekend my boyfriend and I are going to a town a few hours northwest of here called Pai ("Bye") to see a reggae festival and soak up the countryside...im really looking forward to it; I think that Pai is one of the most beautiful places in the world...
We are staying a few kilometers outside of the town (and by outside of the town, I mean a few kilometers away from absolutely everything except rice paddies and forest) at a place called "Amy's Earth House". The entire hotel is made up of 8 tiny thatched clay huts with recycled bottles built into the walls to let colorful light in, and one huge treehouse that sort of serves as the lobby. I think it sounds lovely. oh, and its only $6.50 a night...
I hope that everyone is doing well
