Back in Thailand!!

After one ferry, five flights and 42 hours of travel time, I'm back in Chiang Mai!
I've been back a few days now, and its lovely. Everything is perfect. It feels as tho I never left, despite being home for almost a year.
I started school, I've been eating tons of delicious food, enjoying the heat, and getting my new apartment all set up....
My friend Eva (from home) who has been teaching English in Malaysia since January, flew up to visit. We went for a short hike this morning up a glorious waterfall...tonight we are going to the weekly street market.

Life is good.

Spring Updates

It almost feels like spring!!

Well lets see, in the past few months I've mostly just been working. Not much to blog about.
I've decided to postpone my trip to Thailand by a few months. Its taking a little longer to save money than I had anticipated...But I'm moving in the right direction which is all that really matters. Its better to go with all the money that I will need, rather than going now and running out of money later, right?

A few weeks ago I went to Los Angeles with my dad for my Grandpa's 81st birthday. Good fun. Went window shopping in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Got to visit my favorite lingerie shop; aptly named "Trashy" Everything they sell is made in their workroom in the back of the store.
Also did a lot of fabric shopping; although I didn't actually buy any fabric. I ended up with wonderful and exotic notions and supplies instead. Gorgeous black ostrich and rooster feathers, Swarovski crystals, fabulous black faceted glass buttons, black hat netting and some amazing French lace...really looking forward to using everything. For now I'm just admiring it all :)

Went to Seattle on Tuesday to visit my friends for a couple days. Great fun. My friend Paige left this morning to go study and travel around Europe for 5 months. *jealous*

Thats mostly it. Life is good.
